I'm looking for info on the Pz III ausf J's from Pz Abt (F.L.) 300 during the battle for Sebastopol in June 1942.
Would these have the new engine deck introduced with the Ausf J? I've seen one image from this unit showing a vehicle with the new rear hull overhang but with the old flush style engine deck hatches. I'd like to know if this vehicle is an exeption or the rule.

Thanks in advance.

best regards,

Marc Brandes

This image seems to show the added air intakes on the engine deck:
