Response to And Osprey....?

Firstly, let me introduce msyelf - my name is Ruth and I'm one of the M-L admin team. I haven't deliberately been keeping my identity from you; we just tend to use the log-in name 'Missing-Lynx team' as there are more than 1 of us and people can easily see it is a message from the M-L admin.

Secondly, I would like to assure you that we (Osprey) will not be keeping your details anywhere other than in the NT54 system, and that we will most certainly not be sharing it with any 3rd parties or using it ourselves in any other way.

We have implemented this registration not as a way to 'spy' on people or flood them with Osprey marketing promos - we have done it purely because we were receiving lots of complaints from people who had suffered at the hands of misbehavers on the site who were posting distasteful messages and often posing as other people. It was very difficult to keep on top of this and blocking IPs was not a foolproof solution. This way, we wil be able to block misbehavers and trolls if they repeatedly offend, and keep the forums free of rubbish for the rest of you.

I hope this explains our decisions a little more.

Best wishes
