Response to How bad are the DML Valentine and Bishop

Hi Scott,

Phil Dyer's article is in Military Modelling Vol.28 No.12 1998. There are also two articles here on building the kit, one by Peter Brown:
http://www.missing-lynx.com/articles/britain/pbval/pbval.htm
and the other by JP Morgan on converting it in to a Canadian Mk.III in Soviet service:
http://www.missing-lynx.com/articles/russia/jpmval/jpmval.htm

At present I am slowly converting a Bishop into a Mk.V as used by NZ in the Pacific, using a turret from Accurate Armour. On the whole the kits are buildable as is, but with a little extra work they make up into a nice little vehicle. I found the track not to be the best and have replaced it with Friulmodel track.

As for the access plates they are not totally bogus, I suspect that they only appear on diesel engined versions.
