Hey sherman masters; was this a direct vision?

I posted this a while back and someone mentioned it was a direct vision hull converted. It has plates welded to the front where direct vision slots would be, but i don't see evidence that it was originally a direct vision hull...
can one of you experts confirm this for me? I am finally goign to start this guy and want to make sure i have the right parts...
