Hi,

I'm a complete amateur when it comes to Shermans, but I'm trying to find out more information regarding the travel lock fitted to tanks armed with the 76 mm gun. I've found a few photos that seem to show a different style of travel lock to the 'standard' version. The best detail shot I've come across is shown here (original photo from Toadman's site, shown here for discussion purposes only), as fitted to a rather beaten-up M4A1 76W HVSS located at APG:

Photobucket

Does anyone have any more info or some detail shots of this particular item?

Thanks,
Will
