I just acquired the Real Model resin kit of the Autocar U 8144 tractor. I thought the tires RM provided are quite underscaled according to my sources
http://www.usarmymodels.com/ARTICLES/Tires/tires.html
the Autocar had 9.00x20 tires. This size was installed on vehicles like M8/M20 armored car, 105mm how, and M8 and M10 ammo trailers. All the tires that come with the aforementioned kits, are larger in size than the RM ones:
M8 Tamiya: 29,56mm (1.16 ")
M20 Italeri: 29,27mm (1.15")
M8 ammo trailer Tiger models: 27,75mm (1.09 ")
RM Autocar tires only measure 27,35mm ((1,07 ")
Now, what is the correct diameter in 1:35 scale for 9.00 x20 tires (both diameter and width of the tire)
Thanks
Gert
