Response to Vickers Medium tanks in 6 R/T/R

The only unit to have Vickers Mediums in Egypt were 6 RTC later RTR. They were all replaced in August 1939 by A9 cruisers. Caunter design was trialed by March 1940 and came into general use by July therefore none ever carried Caunter design. The 2 dozen or so photographs I have of Meduiums taken between 1936 and 1939 show a standard disruptive design unique to 6 RTC. In 1935 they carried a different random stripes design, and one picture shows a light coloured triangle on the turret. But be aware that the wartime sequence did not apply then. Other than that none of the photographs show any markings at all, not even civilian plates. Those photographed with Rommel were old ex-Egyptian Force tanks in a plain colour, possibly overall Mid Stone BS.62 as set down in the 1939 G.O. No markings can be seen on those either.
