Response to GPW vs MB differences...

"About the time the slat grille was replaced, the MB glove box was eliminated. The GPW never had a glove box".

Other way round - slatties didn't have glove boxes - later MBs and all GPWs did

Ford had tooling holes outboard of both bumperettes and in front bumper

Ford wooden bumper filler had curved edges and horizontal rebate inside
Willys wooden bumper filler had angled edges

Early jeeps had a small filler cap for the tank

The pre-standardised GP was very different from it's Willys equivalent, the Willys MA

The firewall strengthening is top RH (looking from front at firewall) corner around horn bracket.
Ford junction blocks were grey, Willys were red/brown
