My guess is that very few of the Far East, non-native English-speaking, model company personnel are. Plus, what if they aren't on the "right" board or website to find that guy, or the guy doesn't post?

Even as a regular here, I couldn't begin to tell you who "knows their stuff" on US Navy equipment, British AAA, German trucks, NATO M47s, the IDF, Japanese GSDF, etc., etc., etc., etc.,

And then, IF you find him, my second question comes into play.

I imagine that in some cases (I know of a few) the company thought they had an expert's help, but in reality the person "didn't know what they didn't know" and thus we've ended up with what we have.

It's just not as easy as it may seem.
