Jeeps with Snorkels

I thought there was an aftermarket resin set for snorkeling a jeep. I've checked the usual suspects but haven't found one. Does this ring a bell at all?

Anyone have some good images in case I need to scratch something?

Thanks much!

Perhaps Ordnance Models from the mid-late '80's

I know I got a couple of jeepy things from them back in the Stone Age...
Scratching one ought to be fairly easy:

Ordnance was for the M38

I think the WWII versions were "homemade".

ETO or PTO?

November 6 2009, 12:29 PM

Many of the wading kits in the PTO - where they were pretty common - were not the official kits but cobbled up affairs that could be done (probably more accurately and cheaply) with some minor cutting and addition of rod/tubing.

ETO, Actually

November 6 2009, 12:34 PM

Looking for snorkels at the time of D-Day.

I have fuzzy memories of TWS or TMD having a jeep snorkel set. Perhaps that's what Fabio has? I've contacted him for more info.

Thank all!

I´m sure it was TWS

November 6 2009, 3:45 PM

I´ve got some older MM magazines here, containing kit listings from LSA Models.
They contain a deep wading set for Jeep under TWS heading.

Oh, I really need to send you some content again ... sorry about the delay.

Closing the Circle

Funny that its origin is Ordnance Models. I've used on this jeep two sets of Ordnance PE I've had for years. Too bad they're OOP, they're nice little sets.
