Notice there are at least two different body styles. One is more boxy than the other, which appears to be based on the maintc. body with the cab overhang added (notice the rounded corners). Somewhere I have a photo of another in Korea that may be a third style, will see if I can find it. In addition, both closed and open cabs are used, plus some trucks are a light medium gray and others OD. Also, there are some photos in "The GMC - A Universal Truck" by Jean-Michel Boniface.

The Queens messengers

In 1945 a number of cantines were sent to the west of Holland after the German capitulation. This was done in order to save the population from starvation.
Cantines from the "food flying squad" were employed for instance in Den Haag (the Hague). The "Queens messengers" was a British organisation that was set-up during the Blitz in order to provide immediate help to bombed-out cities.
