Hi all,

What coud be the right colour for painting interoir of a Rolls-Royce pattern 24 used in Lybia in 1940?

Softskins should be bronze green until 1940 but here, in the desert, is it the same thing?

Thanks for your help

Pierre

Hi Perrie,

Cheers

Where were painted the vehicles sent to North Africa: in UK or in Africa?

Regards

Pierre

Painted in UK

February 15 2012, 3:00 PM

These cars were originally painted in UK during the early 1930s. They would have been refurbished numerous times at large depot workshops in Egypt and Palestine. It would not have been usual to make any changes from the specification unless there was a particular reason to do so.

Hello Mike,

Thanks for your reply, it's always great to have your advice.

But, and I apologize for that, I would talked about vehicles during all the campaign in North Africa ( Valtenine tank, Bishop, Humber and son on )
