They were issued to a detachment responsible for recovering German kit and the Tanks Illustrated book on the post-war German army has a photo of one with British census numbers with Bovington's Jpz 38 on the back. One (possibly the same one but I can't recall seeing a census number on it) was also at MVEE post-war where it was trialled with single (and huge!) rear tyres.
