Need some help about Sherman Kangaroo

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

Hi , I need some help about M4A3 , because I got this kit second hand. I found that major part of turret is missing. My lacking of recast skill made me planed to modify it in Kangaroo type.

Anybody have a suggestion , Is it possible to made M4A3 in Kangaroo type and if it possible what I need to added or removed from this kit.

Thank you happy.gif

Well...

Hello Kritsada.

First, I do not think that there were any M4A3's converted into Kangaroos. Second, looking at the picture of your model, it appears that the engine deck is incorrectly positioned. The "fuel" cap with triangular armored splash guard around it should be forward of the engine deck, just behind the turret.

That said, if could tell us what part of the turret was missing from the kit, I might be able to supply a replacement part to you.

Cheers!

Kritsada, the vehicle in the lower photo is a Canadian built Ram Kangaroo...

...not a Sherman. I hope you don't wish to model the lower photograph subject with the pictured kit! With a few adjustments, the kit you have could be used to make a really interesting "What-If" subject though...

Good Luck,
Roy

I,v no idea where the turret went and you might need to do some interior work or put a tarp over it.

Is that a red cross on the bow?

Perhaps this was used as an armoured ambulance?

Or maybe...

do one of the armoured bulldozers with the curved cover over the turret ring. Can't find an online picture at the moment but it would be an easy conversion to do.

You're not the first to put the engine deck on back to front BTW, seen it twice now, I blame the instructions!
