Great pics!! And a Question

July 1 2012, 7:14 AM

Thank you for posting these!!
Does anyone know if they stowed the track, and ran on the roadwheels, while moving long distances by road? I know "road" was a loose term then, but did they only do that when near paved roads or cities? Or, cross country also? Any pics that might show this??
TIA, Dave

Very rare.

Hi Dave.

The idea was to run on the wheels on highways and paved roads. In practice, this option was very rarely used.

Here a photo from my collection:

Is this one of those "swamp-pulls"? Very impressive to see.
