I'm working on the Scale Link Morris C8 Water tank truck and I decided to remove the molded on hose. Does anyone know of a picture or other information as to what this area looks like with the hose unbundled? Thanks, MK

Presumably it's the same Butterfields tank as fitted to the Bedford MWC water bowser - in which case there's a couple of good pictures in the new British Military Trucks of WWII book from Tankograd mentioned below.

or you could look at this thread - although you will have to register to see the pictures#

Water trucks

IIRC there was a difference in the shape of the water tank, the kit you have appears to be the same as fitted to the Bedford MW. It was flatter with straight sides, the Morris was rounder in shape.

I stand to be corrected, but the photos I have of each seem to bear this out. The Morris was used early WWII, the Bedford appears to be used later on, on a much more frequent basis.

As I say, I am often reminded of my assumptions and errors, But I think the Morris should the more rounded profile.

George.
