Vesoul

Hi Richard,

The old Verlinden set [289] also contains markings for VESOUL, a well known M4A4 in Marseille.
I have no idea if Verlinden kept printing this set over the years, or that you have to find an old set as these old dry transfers [289 was probably printed during the eithies] probably won't stay 'fresh' forever.

Another alternative

Richard,
My company, Decalcomaniacs! makes a set for LOTS of Free French vehicles. It's not on the webstore right now (I'm in the process of reworking my website), but you can purchase them from me. Here's a pic of the sheet:

Please note that the lettering in black prints white (part of the printing process). I sell them for US$22.50 per sheet plus shipping (US$4.90 domestic, US$4.50 international). You can contact me at: decals@decalcomaniacs.net

French names

August 17 2012, 7:29 AM

Hi Georg,

Happy to see some French WWII markings on the market but :
*the french maps for the 2eDB are VERY approximative,
*There is no space between F and abert, between T and ours,
*This VALENCIENNES and not VALENCENNES, JOUBERT and not JOURBERT, IENA and not JENA,
*I don't think it's Général WelVert but Welvert,
*I can't see on the picture if you've drawn the little ['] on the Revolutionary Flag "FRANCE D'ABORD",
*The prefix IC on the registration plates are only for vehicles sent to IndoChina.

That's what I see at first glance.

I think you can have better infos through :

Hope it helps,
Cheers,
Patrice.
