I visited Duxford today and further to the previous thread,http://www.network54.com/Forum/47208/thread/1344722190/Montgomery%27s+Leyland+Caravan+pictures-

The vehicles are in a bit of a state, the roofs are covered with plastic sheeting, perhaps the roof of the building is leaking in the 'wet' summer?

Anyway, I took some photos..

The Leyland vehicle, note the 'non original' blue sheeting!

Hope this helps (a little)

More pics, maybe

IIRC, there are some nice colour pics of Monty from his time in Italy, seated or standing in the stairs at the rear of the camouflaged-painted Leyland (or Mack?)

One wonders if some Scottish Nationalists have hit the museum!

Nice Bonny blue. I have one or two of those myself.
Thanks for posting the photos, great looking truck there. I wish the plastic modeling companies would do a host of the Brit trucks, especially the Humber Box. and others with those fenders (wings for you wild buffalo eaters) which are not formed into the body. I might buy a few.

Monty's Humber

August 18 2012, 3:51 AM

I forgot that Monty's Humber (well one of them, there seem to be dozens of them) is currently in the restoration hanger.

Glad to be of some help.
