Response to The stripe

Hi Joe,
Thanks, but the stripe I'm interested in is the wide white stripe with black edges painted on IDF vehicles (Sherman tanks, AMX-13's, halftracks and softskins) in 1967, during the Six day war.

I have seen this on M50 Shermans, M1 Shermans and AMX-13's (no Pattons or Centurions), painted on the turret roof (and engine deck?). On halftracks, jeeps and trucks it was on the rear door and as a 'T' on the hood and front fenders.

As I'm building Tamiya's M51 I'm thinking about adding it on the turret roof but I have no photos of M51's with it, M50's yes but M51's no.
