Response to Hello Mike,

I was assigned to A/1/6 INF (Mech) during that same period. We were also attached to 1/2ACR as part of our combat mission. Since we conducted exercises at our GDP with 2ACR on a regular basis, I was pretty familiar with their vehicles. The M60A3s and M113s carried standard bumper codes. And yeah, they did use pretty funky ID panels.
