I have just been hooked on building IDF models, and have purchased the old Tamiya Merkava 1 kit. I want to improve on the detail, so have purchased a PE set for the kit from Eduard, and plan on upgrading the tracks with Fruili metal ones. Besides adding say some resin packs and bedrooms etc., is there anything else I can do to upgrade the Tamiya kit? Does anyone for example do an aftermarket main gun to replace the plastic kit parts?
Any help in this matter would be most appreciated.
