Apparently there was a propose upgrade for the M60 that used a complete turret from a M1A1.

Does anyone have a name for it (so I can google), or pics?

Also, if anyone has one of each kit lying around (any brand), can they tell me if the turret ring of is going to fit etc?

M60 hull with M1A1 turret and added Abrams like side skirts with T-158 track.

More info:

One build by Mike McNichols at Patton-Mania.

Not sure, but I think the turret will fit right onto the hull with minimal modification to the turret ring.

I've got a nice little hand out from a past Armor Conference from General Dynamics Land Systems. I can copy and e-mail it to you if you want.

That would be most handy - I'm just curious about it, too many other projects, but it could ba a good use for an oled Tamiya kit.

Best reference for this beastie is RAIDS Hors-Série Number 8 "Le chars de combat en action 3ème partie", I can bring it to the next model club meeting or give me a call and drop by at my place.
