What Gary said. In the rear of the turret is the Mine Clearing Line Charge or MICLIC for short.

M-1 Assault Breacher Vehicle

I was digging around awile back when I first saw this conversion of the M-1 and someone sent me this link of a Korean site. He has a lot of stuff on this an other engineer vehicles. There is also a cool video showing the Breacher in action. Don M.
