Greg,

the pictures I found may be from the same occasion. It could be from training the Singaporian crews on the training ground Bergen-Hohne, Germany, in April 2009.

Here is the link:

Where did you find the pictures?

Harald

p.s.
My suggestion that the pics show the same event evidently is not right. I see that 'your' pictures are dated 2008 10 25. Nevertheless it could be Bergen-Hohne.

Pictures that Greg posted...

November 7 2009, 6:11 AM

...I believe were from the training grounds in Australia? (Is that a black Roo on the black cap?)

Those posted from Harald I haven't seen before... thanks for the links! Man, those yellow tac numbers surely looked like Tamiya masking tape! LOL!

Btw, I managed to see the latest batches during the last Army Open House in Singapore. Unfortunately the static display version wasn't the latest batch still featuring 4/4 smoke dischargers... Only torwards the end of the show did I managed to catch two rolling out into the sunset parade. By latest - I meant the new perforated turret basket, 6/2 smoke dischargers, and additional weird brackets/fittings on the side skirts (new to me)... Too bad I couldn't get onto it as it was temporarily parked, getting ready to move anytime and the crew were in their respective battle station. But I was glad I did catch it at the last minute before there was enough light to make out the details... The headlights were switched on as it was getting dark and the engine humming while still stationery - exhilarating sight!

Cheers,

Lawrence
