Hi all,

does any one know of an update set offered to rebuild either the TAMIYA 2.5 TON TRUCK, or the AFV Club M35A2 kits to a Canadian M211? I assume that the TAMIYA GMC 2.5 TON is e good choice as a basic kit in respect to the axles. I know that the cargo bed is not correct as M211's had steel cargo beds.

Any assistance will be highly appreciated!

I posted a picture of the M211 CDN cargo truck!

unfortunately there isn't one

hi Hauke
unfortunately there hasn't been a conversion for the M211/M135 in years and you would be looking for the old Schmidt Vacform if you were. I started it a while back just never got back to finish it.The detail is soft and requires a great deal of work to make it accurate. Also the kit was developed to fit the old Monogram M34 kit you sometimes see come out in the MASH kits. You would need to use and M35 base or the Monogram M34. The WW2 CCKW deuce is actually smaller than the later M series from the fifties. Good Luck
Shane

Shane,

thank you for your reply.

That's exactly what I feared. Hopefully one of the new companies will do one in the futuré.

I'd love to see in plastic this one, it's a very nice vehicle that deserves a kit!
