Hi All

I just caught some sprue and build up shots of the French EBR over on IPMS Philippines site. The turret is moulded without the dust cover and the upper turret is moveable does this make it ideal for building an Egyptian M4 Hybrid?

I'm aware the turrets were the earlier type without the cover - but that's as far as my knowledge on the turrets goes. Anyone with more info want to chip in?

I quite like the look of the Armoured Car anyway so might pick up two if I see them in my LHS. Why buy one when you can get two for twice the price...

Cheers

The dust cover is optional

You can leave it off and just use some lead for the original rubber gasket strip (you can see it on the latrun example)

I am not 100% certain it's accurate, but it's certainly better than the old heller one.

Didn't spot the cover on the sprues - when I look now it's obvious. Glad it's an option in any case!

I'm making an Egyptian amx Sherman with this kits turret, and using the ebr base to make de Gaulle's funeral vehicle wink.gif

I am doing the AMX-M4A4 also

But using the Heller turret. I felt for the $$ it was less of a waste to use the Heller parts and its easier to find a use for the AMX-13 chassis. I have a resin M24 Chaffee turret conversion made for the Heller kit. I didn't feel like wasting a $50 Copy Boss kit just for the turret.

Azimut FL-11 turret over on PMMS

July 16 2012, 7:59 AM

Hi All
Just noticed the Azimut FL-11 turret over on PMMS - might be an alternative to the de Gualle vehicle. Might be more expensive than the Heller route but less work!

I have a Tasca M4a4 in the stash too. Should be an easy project happy.gif
Cheers
