Response to real vehicle?

The b/w photo that was circulated a while ago is known to be photo shopped. Here is a page showing the original t-34 and the photo shopped version:http://www.armchairgeneral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77068

However, there is text that suggests 1 was field modified. But the gun sat lower, inside the hull, as found on this page about halfway down:http://www.ww2incolor.com/forum/showthread.php?3292-Panzer-projects-amp-prototypes./page7

cheers,
Tony
