though arguably the main attribute for a recon element is stealth. Speed is good to 'bug out' when required.

Have a look at the size/height of a modern Luchs and whether it fits the criteria levelled at this one? And back in WW2 the main sensor was the Mk1 eyeball suplemented with binos, so poking your head out the hatch would have been the norm, rather than driving around closed up. All still mostly valid today too.
