After suffering through a modeller's block all fall and winter, I have finally gotten back into the swing of things, finishing a bunch of models I had sitting on my workdesk and starting a few new ones, including this Maus from Dragon.
I picked it up on sale this summer at a hobby shop that was going out of business while visiting Reno, Nevada. Standard Dragon quality, easy to put together for the most part. I added a couple of pieces from the E-100 kit that I copied in resin and even added some parts from a Panther engine insert to fill up the spaces under the grills. The only other thing I added was some 24 gauge wire from the fuel tank to the hull. Figures came from Elheim, my current favorite figure company. Pain
ted with Tamiya and Agama acrylics, weathered with Tamiya powders and some water color pencils. Added a little Mig Rainmarks to finish it off. Any comments welcome. Thanks for looking.
