Response to 1st A.D. Rhino marking
Yes, that makes sense Gentlemen. Given what the mayhem of the rushed deployment of the [pieces] piecemeal formed and shipped helter-skelter to the French Channel ports...this major formation ( 1st Armoured Division ) was anything but a homogenous unit in May 1940.
For wargamers of the Second World War,- such actions as the "Battle of Huppy", and the fighting around Abbeville is very fascinating.
As an aside, it's interesting to hear about Zvezda's investment into the B.E.F. with several infantry figure sets, not to mention a 2 pdr. AT gun & crew, as well as HaT's coming B.E.F.infantry set- many sporting the gas mask pack, and finally Ace's fine Mk.VIb, Tilley' 10 HP light utility, and 2 pdr. AT gun.I believe Strelets also has a 60 pdr. or 6" gun coming as well.
For what it's worth, I included a personal rendition of the "Arras breakthrough",with a book illustration using Matilda's I & II in small scale on the CD I'm going to offer quite soon about WW2 land battles; in full daylight,-the G.3/G.4 scheme is rather difficult to differentiate on my little 1:76th scale miniatures in the illustration. Best regards, Mark.
