Response to Re: E-mail

I don't know chartierizing the law enforcement response as "pound sand" is correct. this doesn't involve a large sum of money and while you haven't said it seems the perpetrator isn't a resident in your immediate area, so it's a matter of capabilities. Being a small amount it would fall on local authorities to develolp the case for prosecution. Most LE agencies aren't going to spend the cash to send a detective, extradite, etc, out of state for a small amount. The feds don't get involved until it's a case with lots of victims - more than the four or five you pointed out here - or millions of dollars in loss. A case of buyer beware, most are great folks, but cottage industries occasionally take people's money for one reason or another - be it they get over their head because they're overwhelmed because of offering a great product at a good price or they just aren't ethical business people. If you go into a purchase from one with the understanding that you might loose a few bucks you won't be as disappointed and clog up these forums with your personal gripes. Don't blame the cops because you didn't take appropriate measures to protect yourself. I'm about tired of hearing about Gordon Brown and Cromwell Models - why anyone would give him a red cent up front is beyond me.
