Scratchbuilding mostly

Response to WEEKLY UPDATE 17.6.2012....

Hi all!
The plans for the last week were to finish the body of the covered wagon at least but it turned out it would be impossible to avoid PE with it too. The smallest commercially available styrene channels and angles are too big for it, to add all those bolt heads on them also isn't my idea of fun so I've decided to make them from etched metal. The PE parts still aren't ready so the thing was left aside for now at this stage:

However, just to keep myself in a good scratchbuilding condition I've decided to give a go to my old dream so an ugly Renault AHN was started last Monday. The project advance was surprisingly good and fast and here it is, in its present form:

To make Trilex wheels wasn't much fun, as always, but it turned out the metal GS body sides with those stamped diamonds on them are even more fun. But I'll do my best to make them, I'm almost in love with those Renaults. They are so ugly that looks beautiful happy.gif
Cheers!
