Panther G Markings

I've been researching markings for Panther G I am working on.

I found a couple of marking schemes from Bison decals that have national markings on the sides of the turret instead of the more usual front corners of the hull. Just wondering if this was widespread or particular only to some units or a specific period.

TIA for any help...
