Mike

Wespe Models has a 1/76 Marmon Herrington: http://www.wespemodels.ro/

I have their Commer Q2 and it's quite a good kit.

D'oh! I should have read your first post, Mike.

February 2 2007, 12:36 AM

I won't bother with the Wespe Models kit then.

MMS has a couple of Mk II variants. Any idea how they shape up?

David

M-H Mk II

February 2 2007, 9:02 AM

Hi David

I still have a Mk II from Lead Sled as well - no idea whether they are still available. I keep seeing various Lead Sled kits on sale but most seem to be 1/35 (ouch).

Regret to say I have built neither the Lead Sled nor the MS one (yet) so cannot advise on quality.

"I" think that MMS products are still availible.......

February 2 2007, 9:12 AM

I remember that MMS was "For Sale" at one time....
He was "moving" and didn't want to haul the whole business with him.
I guess that noone could come up with a reasonable offer,
so he took it all with him, and is still producing.
(I think).
Can anyone out there add to this?
Ken

yep

February 2 2007, 1:32 PM

I spoke to Barry at Telford, he is still producing, having been unable to get the price he wanted for the business. I bought a very nice German Cavalry Officer, mounted on a horse which, most unusually for a model, is eating grass while the rider map-reads.

Lead Sled

February 2 2007, 6:35 PM

Ken

I know that MMS is still in business - and a good thing too for those of us who stick to 1/76 at least to some extent! What I was intending to say was that I do not know if anyone is still selling Lead Sled's 1/76 kits (and their Marmon-Harrington in particular).

MMS M-H cars

February 3 2007, 4:40 PM

MMS M-H Mk.II cars are OK. Three versions, standard and with Italian 20mm Breda or 37mm Pak35/36 German gun.
