This is a model that I did almost 15 years ago.
It got me first place at NorEastCon,in Rochester
when I was still on good terms with Ted (Commander's Series Models).
I Started with an ESCI Sherman,a buch of odd parts from a Roko M88,
Some scratch building for the boom,"A" frame, and Turret,
then a slew of spares from here and there.
I'm playing with the Idea of adding it to my Model Line.
Tell me what you think.
TIA
Ken
Ken,
this could be a nice addition to your line. I need to do some Allied stuff on doctor's orders and I only have the Esci kits lying around. I've learned that this kit has the wrong turret/hull combination, but most conversions for it have been catered for by Dragon and the likes. This would be a nice way to get out of that impasse !
What else do you have on the line, and can we make any suggestions ?
Please make all the suggestions you want.
I don't have the time to take on new things right now, but,
If there is something that strikes my fancy,
You never know.
Ken
There's no telling what may be next,
I have so many things on my plate/in my head now.
The Priest is a good idea, I'll keep it in mind.
I wish my M32 looked as good as Steve Zaloga's in the gallery.
Keep an eye out, there maybe a few things coming soon (I hope).
Thanks for looking.
Ken
At the risk of "Pushing the Envelope".......
Anyone can just send me an E-mail and I'll send them a products list.
Haven't I done so with you?
If not I'll do so now.
Thanks for looking.
Ken
Master M32 over Dragon kit would be real great! I want to build one by myself... some day
BTW: Think about detailing set for Shermans. Eg. the "BB" needs some bits like spoked wheels, .303 mg, cullin, spare road wheel that are missing in the DML set. Also some jerrycans, personal gear and boxes would make a real great set tor all braille Shermans I think. I have couple more ideas about Shermi's - drop me a line please.
Cheers
Jakub

The M36 and the additional parts sound like a good idea...
I cannot promise anything at this time ,
but I will keep it in mind.
Thanks for the ideas.

Hi Ken that's really nice! It would be a nice addition to your line of kits for sure. Have you considered selling it either as a complete kit, or, as a add-on conversion for user's old sherman kit chassis? Take care, Mark.
I don't recall you before....
have we been introduced?
If not.....nice to meet you.
Glad you like the M32,
If I do make a kit of it.......,
it won't be for quite a while.
Thanks for looking though.

an introduction...

Hello Ken, I have enjoyed viewing the fine work of better modellers than myself here, and the interesting topics, for a few years. As I model to add stuff to a gaming table, my builds are not as detailed as many here;some models posted here are spectacular in effort and quality. Happily,I nevertheless enjoy the hobby-or the combination of several hobbies for me,which small scale models represent.
I have a few hundred built models and perhaps a thousand or so figures, including maybe 200 conversions. And,like many folks here-I have lots of unfinished projects sitting around! Your ARV is of interest-even for wargaming, and I did a hitch in army as a mechanic working on engineering equipment (plus of course the odd armored vehicle, etc). I am writing a small book about the Second World War with 1/72 scale model scenes to represent the illustrations;nothing expansive, just a basic book.
Having noted the contrasting perspectives about the recent post of [Polish Cavalry actions]in 1939,I recognize that history represents many things, and is neither boring nor idle. I hope to present a perspective of events which is interesting to all. And,I want to emphasize too the merit of such a hobby as 1/72 scale miniatures and recreating historical renditions. Ken your models are very nicely built, and I'm pleased to meet you, Mark.

I would suggest...

That you make it a conversion kit. Because it would be better to use the new Dragon M4A1 hull to make it a WW2 M32B1. I have not seen any WW2 M32s with the big hatch except the Italeri 1/35th model(I could be wrong though). I grafted the Hat early hatch to the Revell M4A1 hull for my model. Also, if you make it a conversion kit, you can use it on a M4 hull also.
Just in case we haven't already met.
Have you done anything and posted it here?
If not please do.
Would love to see something you've done.
Mine is actually an M32B1, but I forgot the (1).
Glad you like the model, and Thanks for looking.
Ken
Good to meet you too. Unfortunately, before I can post anything I would actually have to FINISH a model! I'm a dabbler in US vehicles in multiple scales.
we love WIP (work in progress)
And to see everyones work is a great boost,
sometimes someone might have builder's block...
and seeing your work, my work, anybody's work,
might get them out of a slump.
An excellent example is Albert Chen's M31 just a couple of posts above.
Inspiring.......
So please feel free.....
share your work with us.
Thanks
Ken
I agree....with all the new Dragon Shermans out there it would make since to
use their hulls.
I'm thinking a conversion kit would be the way to go.
Thanks for looking and giving you thoughts on the subject.
