Coastal Defence Bunker, Italeri #6085

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased Italeri's Costal Defense Bunker,kit #6085.
It is one HUGE kit. The box alone measures 13 1/2 inches long by 9 1/2
high! The box is I believe, a first for Italeri as it is a flip top carton
with pictures of past releases on the inside bottom sides.

The kit consists of only 13 large pieces on 2 sprues that make up the model. The
instructions are on the bottom of the box in a back and white line drawing.

The bunker if I remember correctly, actually is modeled after a real position on the Normandy
or Pas De Calis costline. It has realistic looking battle damage on the surface, and it looks
like the Bunker entrance doors can be made to work and are in the least, positionable.

I hope to bring you more updates on this kit as the U.S. Holiday Memorial Day, continues.

Brad, how do they compare size wise

May 26 2007, 11:20 AM

I am building a diorama of Sword beach and need a h677. Accurate armours is a bit on the expensive side as much of it will be in a sand dune, but if the Italeri one is much bigger I shall go with the accurate armour one.

Cheers

andrew

I have that kit to put a pak43 in it, and I think it doesnt look bad at all.

PN Sud Modelisme makes one too but it's more expensive.
