Revell SdKfz 7 - the fourth part

Please excuse me, posting here in almost the same time about the same subject, but I just could not resist this model and finished the painting in a 'forced march' - quick to say: Tamiya acrylics, weathered with washings of oil, a decent chipping and some pigment powders. Placed the rifles, the wheels and the wind-screen, and finished all with a coat of flat colourless acryl. Now it is up to make some figures and find some stowage...

If this is the Revell kit it appears more than worthy of a purchase.

Nicely finished.

Superb stuff....

Hi Christian,

Well done, a lovely model and certainly right up there on my 'to get' list. I am thinking of doing this with the Revell 88, but I am not sure if the later version was used in the Desert Campaign, which is where I would like to set it. Perhaps someone could enlighten me. I thank you most sincerely for taking the time and effort to show us how good a model it is, I think a lot of people will now be thinking of getting one as this half-track has been on most people's 'want' list for a long time.

All the best,

Paul

Matthias,
If this is your way of disappointing people, by all means please keep disappointing all of us! wink.gif Maybe you could disappoint us with the armored/unarmored flak versions of this half track next?
Christian , very well done! excellent work with a much needed update of the sdkfz7. Thanks for the in progress shots ,very helpful and it shows with just a little extra effort what a fine kit this makes up to be.
cheers, Jim

I'd prefer to be disappointed.....

July 21 2012, 10:27 AM

With a MaCo 1/72 Pz.II Ausf L Luchs than happy with a Modeltrans one! wink.gif

Screw the naysayers, and please, please try to keep the prices set so we can actually afford 'em.....Then we'll buy 'em, and that's guaranteed! happy.gif

All the best
Andy S.
PS - MaCo get my nomination for new kit manufacturer of the century as things stand now.....Precision parts, great detail, novel subjucts AND a two way dialogue with the company.

Thank You very much guys for Your kind words. It was really great fun to build this little gem. I wish, I had more time for more reviews, specially of such great subjects like these.

P.S. I am planning to let it pull a S.Fh18 (ACE) and set it on a small dio, so it is not the last time, You've seen this model...

Cheers,
Christian
