toy like

July 25 2012, 4:13 PM

sorry i can't help but think they look like toys for kids, or for collecting even then the detail is not very good compared with the likes of dragon armor, hobby master, easy model or corgi ready builds/diecasts

Well they are found in newsstands...

July 25 2012, 11:22 PM

and are aimed primarly at collectors, I like them because with a little work they can make decent models.

Re: toy like

July 25 2012, 11:42 PM

I agree with you, but in some cases they are much cheaper than the resin kits or sometimes, there might be not any kit available but only those diecast "toys" can be the options.

Some but

July 27 2012, 11:03 PM

not all- the later ones are very well built and painted, as good, in some cases, as Dragon

I got the M548 TLC off ebay and am quite impressed.

July 27 2012, 11:19 PM

Plenty of scope for some added detail(and an Aussie paint job) but very tidy as is. Toy like? Well, there are some very nice toys these days!

And where M548s are concerned, this is the first one in 1/72.
