Okay i think its ready for paint. Ill give it a couple days to see if theres anything i really missed on it. Sculpting the mantlet shroud was interesting Especially considering i didnt have my proper sculpting tools in hand...Headlights and brush guards are left overs from my M60A3 build since the dozer kit has different ones to be used. I felt the ESCI parts were too scrawny lookingStowage basket netting is made from the nylon mesh in paper cone paint filters. I am also happy with how the guide teeth came out on the track. They should look the part once properly painted and weathered. I dont think i did too badly on this one so far. If anyone sees a glaring error let me know. Also note the upper and lower hull are not glued yet.

Wow! Stunning work!

I'm overwhelmed at the awesome detail you've done. Great job on everything. I did happen to notice one guide tooth missing in the last pic, just down from the two incomplete ones. Of course, I may be wrong and that may have been intentional showing 'damaged' track from usage. Most impressive work; this is going to look so fantastic under paint! Can't wait to see more!

I'm really enjoying your progress. I'm inspired to pull mine out a return it to the workbench. I got stuck on the mantlet cover. Also really digging the bustle rack..

Thanks for sharing your artwork!!!

I still feel theres something missing i just dont know what.

Thanks for spotting the chipped guide teeth. I will have to slice off and replace those.

I am also glad this has inspired someone else to revisit an old project. Another reason i like to detail like this is to show that you dont need the latest Eduard PE set or resin coerrection lump to make a really well detailed model. Its all just bits of styrene and other things i have had at hand already.

The Mantlet cover is made from Aves Apoxie sculpt. Its a 2 part putty similar to milliput but with a much finer grain allowing for more fine detail. I also applied some to the commanders turret/cupola weapon.

Did anyone notice the cable connection cover and its small lanyard ? Its where the searchlight cable connects to the turret. I hope it survives painting!
