Hi guys

I have grown my force to include a Pak 40 and RSO, and an assault engineer squad, (I don't think I will make up the SP Pak 40 for this force) apart from a couple of pieces of armour I think this will be the full size, moving forward I will be concentrating on completing and blogging about elements within this group, so no more group photos until its complete.
I have been adding equipment to those that needed it, and started the basing process, I bought another Italeri tropical FJ box and swapped out all the ESCI FJ heads I had used, much better and more consistent now, I'm pretty happy with how they are progressing, all comments welcome.

A true labor of love.

BTW--who made the RSO's? I thought ACE was the only source.

terrific, a question

excellent project Danl - by chance, did you shorten the FG42 on the standing firing figure from Italeri or is it an optical illusion due to your adding a jacket? looks much better!

I cut it out of the hand, trimmed the extra length off, then placed a little green stuff in the hand and on the end of the barrel, then a touch of superglue and pushed it back in the hand.

Not really sure, I do a bit on each figure at a time, then ave to leave them to dry, I usually work on half a dozen at a time, the actual applying and sculpting of the putting doesn't take to long, all the time is spent on drying. I'm a bit of a hack, real sculptors smith the putty out with oils and brushes between sessions, I use spit and a finger.

I have the last two sets...

August 10 2017, 8:39 AM

Just arrived in the mail this week. I could be wrong but these may be the first figures (in 1/72) that model the late-war German hooded parkas! I'll be including a figure or two in my next project.
