We had a good week last week, lots of nice builds being started, with lots of interesting subjects. Hopefully we will see a few more join in this week with their builds, lots of scope with this subject from the beginning of the 20th century to present day and the whole wide world to choose a location from.

So it is that time again, gentlemen can we see your updates please...

All the best,

Paul

my entry- a trio of Staghounds

August 9 2017, 5:43 AM

With my family on vacation and just the dog for company I have been blitzing my backlog of models. I think I airbrushed about 30 on Sunday wink.gif

So this is my entry into the Recce GB. Its the Cromwell quick build and will be in a diorama depicting a patrol stopped while the road is checked for mines. It will be set in NWE and the figures are all AB Figures. Tonight will be decals.

Very nice...

August 9 2017, 8:51 AM

Hello Paul,

That looks like a cracking diorama in the making, the figures seem just right and will be great when all painted up and based. The Cromwell vehicles look very good and convey very well the rugged nature of the Staghound, a personal favourite of mine and one I shall have to make sooner than later. Look forward to your next update.

All the best,

Paul

They look familiar!

Paul

You have made good progress and I like the concept - any excuse to use some AB figures!

What is the bloke on the turret up to? I didn't know that "planking" was a thing in the 1940s wink.gif

Cheers

David

sdkfz 250

August 9 2017, 12:46 PM

well, second try... this coat is ok to go, applied decals so the whole show can continue. it doesn't look as crisp as after the first coat, due to the second coat of primor and paint, but i will see if i can fix this with the oils.

I will also be doing this vehicle (and a variant) for this GB - starting within about a week. Camo looks good so far - look forward to more. BTW - is this the ACE model version (mine is)?

Seems ok to me...

August 12 2017, 3:40 AM

Hello Jan,

The camouflage looks really neat to me, very nice. I have forgot which model company makes this one, can you remind me. It looks very neat and I like the tilt hoops, something you don't see modelled on this type, or the 251 for that matter. Look forward to the next stages, well done so far.

All the best,

Paul

Well here goes nothing. I don't usually get into PE in this scale but why not.

I have a little extra time on my hands now that my usual partner in crime is off to Kindergarten. I thought I would get my mind off my missing him with some styrene and brass. Kids grow up too fast!
