With a couple of rock apes scratching their heads trying to fix it, because Commodore Clapp stopped the RAF bringing their techies and servicing & calibration equipment....
Just like the problems at Wideawake where the rn Captain in charge there, kept turning back RAF movers, ops & A/C techies, and then wondered why it took twice as long to turn round the movements, and kept shouting about the A/C unservicability.
...I mean, who thought of putting a GD rn captain in charge of an airfield- If he'd been a FAA officer it might have worked, but as it was, it turned into a mess.

And the F..k ups in coordinating the right resources to the spot are also always the same, no matter what nationality the army or services are...

beck & call of the Navy!? I heard an expression uttered once that if I had a mouthful of liquid it would have come out with the intensity of a plasma cutter!!
"The (insert navy of your choice), X years of history unimpeded by progress!!"
Apologies to any navy hands but I thought it was funny!
These are cool!

I want them! Too bad they don't come with a generator and command vehicle. I have an old White Metal kit somewhere with all that; Ill have to see if I have all the parts for it still so I can add them to this whenever I get it.
That looks pretty good!

And would look even better with a Perentie tow vehicle!

Would have come with a firing post, an essential item for its use, and a generator while we're at it.

Yes but no but yes but! Really I was only on about the optical firing post, but the rest would be nice aswell, blind fire, generators, reloads, etc etc, CMSC did a nice basic version of the rapier, including generators and reloads, goes well with the JB 1 tonne landrover.

I'm so thrilled at Riich for making these newest models! I really need to save some money!
Isn't this thread about Rapier?
|September 16 2017, 2:43 AM |
It annoys me, a little bit, when someone hijacks a thread.
|Simon Barnes |
To be fair.

The initial post was about both the MRAPs and the Rapier, just that more people were talking about the rapier😀
