I couldn't find the pic' of my little desk in all its' slovenly glory and it's really boring right now, so I'll show off my daughter a couple of years ago working on the bane of all California 4th graders: the Mission Project.
Here she's doing some work on a scratchbuilt Mission San Buenaventura in N-scale, the one time, the ONE TIME the desk was neat:
