Hi Brian,
Once I've cleared off that top shelf, I'm having a pool table in there! Being a shed with gaps under the door, there's a small army of spiders living in there with me, and it's quite disconcerting when one chooses to take a short cut across my bench as I'm working. I'm sure they pause to see what I'm doing..
Luckily, in south east England it we rarely see real extremes of temperature, although last summer was hot (for us), and because it's so small in there, my fan heater quickly warms things up to a comfortable level in the winter months. I do have to watch the fume build-up though, hence the large extractor box.
The photo set-up is mainly for the in-progress shots as the lighting is a little too contrasty for the main magazine images, although they have been turning out reasonably well of late and at a push I could shoot the whole set of pics for an article on the set-up if needed. We have a permanent photo-studio at the TMMI office, which is about 35 miles north of London (and about 10 miles from where I live). I shoot on a Nikon D70 with 60mm macro lens.
Hi Tom - are you covetting my Aiwa stereo? I can understand, it's a fine piece. It was a gift to my kids from my sister in-law, but somehow it ended up in the shed (guilty!).....
Thanks for your comments!
Kindest regards,
Marcus
