Response to I spy a FM M4A3E8 under glass, now where did I see that first????

My friend Shawn makes reference to the fact this 1/24 scale Franklin Mint M4A3(76)W HVSS Sherman has been seen before. He was kind enough to provide criticism during an online build while I ripped the original apart and sort of made a decent model out of it. His eagle eye has spied it lurking on my armor shelf, here:

A better view of it:

As it was seen in this month's issue (May 2007) of FineScale Modeler:

But as pleased as I am with the model, pride of place in my collection is in the next pic.
All ten volumes of Hunnicutt, all five bound volumes of 'Armor in Profile', and all ten bound volumes of 'Wheels & Tracks'. Now, these are treasures!

Yes, Shawn, former Army Aviator. But in a time long ago in a galaxy far away. The Army is somewhat strange, don't you think? They teach some folks to jump out of perfectly good aircraft while they teach others to stay in them. <grin>
