You can get resins with much longer pot life so that you can work the bubbles out of your mould. They make resins with several pot lifes so that you can tailor your choice to how much of a production line you are running. Real production lines can get away with real short pot lifes because they are using mixers & vacuum to degas & pressure to getr rid of bubbles & the whole works. The guy doin git at home doesn't have that equipment and needs more time to mix and more time to get the bubbles out of the pour.

The Smooth-on RTVs aren't really up to "production" usage rates and do degrade faster than the high-grade RTVs like DOW COrning's products, but they are waaaay cheaper and are more than adequate for any real amount of personal casting you want to do.
