I came back to modeling as a way to save some money on hobbies after my kids were born. My hobby for the previous decade was racing with SCCA's SOLO program, or "autocross". Talk about burning money up in smoke... that's a good one to be in. We were going through ~2-3 sets of tires a year, at $1200 a pop. Plus gas for a truck to tow the race car, upkeep and maintenance on the race car, go-fast parts either bought or built, entry fees, etc. I try to be as thrifty when possible with this hobby, but it could be a LOT worse. Oh, and obligatory picture...
