Response to taking better pictures help

checked out your camera. Doesn't have much going for it. The macro mode only allows focusing from 4"+ and I doubt that you have a minimum aperture over f/5.0. This only allows for clear side or slight 3/4 shots. The depth of field isn't there. Try taking pictures from 5" or so and set the aperture on the highest #,which would be the smallest aperture(go figure). That should give you fair results on macro with good lighting. Let me know what you come up with.........Dan
