Response to War Horse...

I saw the movie War Horse yesterday and will say that it was a good movie. As for the horse getting tangled in the barbed wire............ well, the production staff took a bit of liberty with the scene. OK, a LOT of artistic liberty, more like Shep Paine modeling artistic license. But it made for a touching scene none the less. Given the SPEED and angle at which the horse hit the NUMEROUS strands of barbed wired, ol' Joey boy there would have looked like he got ran thru an egg slicer by the time he stopped. Please note that the horse only suffered TWO cuts that required medical attention before somebody wanted to put him down. Having worked with livestock I've seen what barbed wire can do and it's not pretty. Heck, I've seen what Verlinden PE barbed wire can do to a finger and that wasn't pretty either.

Meanwhile I'm still contending with the segment of the trailer for "RED Tails" that shows the pilots in a pre-flight huddle doing what appears to be a Baltimore Ravens "hoo-rah" psych up chant. Ya gotta be kidding me please!

Then there is the trailer for the movie with the three ice bound gray whales and the trailer for Janet Evanovich's "One for the Money" which is NOT starring Sandra Bullock as Stephanie Plum..............
