Response to I love PE

The beauty of where we are now with this hobby is that we can have it both ways, and long may that be so.

I used Bronco's Chaffee as an example and I am looking at it whilst I write this. Yes, it is turning out to be a chore to build in my opinion, but I would not have it any other way. I broke off and built a much simpler kit - straight off the shelf - and that is the choice that we have.

Personally, I would rather have a 1200 part Humber AC than none at all, and I fear that I will be in my grave before Tamiya turn their talents to one. I will happily live with what we have right now.

You know, I was recently turfing through some old magazines and the letters (remember them?) were bemoaning the fact that there were few entrants to the hobby. Twenty years later we are still going strong with mega-part kits for those that want them and easier ones for those that don't. I am still buying both, and the shops are still selling them.

Graham
